The Mor Ventures Foundation was established on June 16th, 2025, born from founder John Hinds' lifelong passion for community development and his unwavering commitment to giving back. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges facing the Morvant community—from persistent social and economic hardships to the tragic loss of young lives to violence and community divisions—John recognized the urgent need for positive change in his community.

The foundation emerged from a deep concern for the youth of Morvant, many of whom were being lost to violence and criminal activity due to limited opportunities and a lack of constructive recreational outlets. John understood that without meaningful alternatives and community support, young people would continue to be vulnerable to negative influences that perpetuate cycles of division and harm.

Driven by the belief that strong communities are built through connection, support, and shared purpose, The Mor Ventures Foundation was created to address these critical gaps. By providing essential services like food hamper distributions, organizing sports and family days, and developing recreational programs, the foundation works to create positive pathways for youth while bringing the entire community together.

The foundation's approach recognizes that lasting change requires more than addressing immediate needs—it requires building relationships, breaking down barriers, and creating opportunities for every resident to thrive.
